Starting your childcare journey
We are excited for you and your family to join our Blossom community
We aim is to be your child’s home away from home, but we understand that choosing a childcare centre for your child can be a very daunting process.
That’s why we’re here to support you, and to help you feel completely confident in the process and our service.
We will guide you through every step and are here to answer any questions you may have.

Booking a tour
Choosing the right childcare centre for your child starts with booking a tour.
Our tours give you the opportunity to see our facilities, meet our wonderful team, and observe the engaging learning environment we provide. During the tour, feel free to ask any questions about our programs, routines, and how we support each child’s individual needs.
Enrolling your child
Once you’ve made the decision to enrol your child, we start the enrolling process.
During this process you’ll receive an enrolment pack that includes all the necessary information to get started. We’ll also ask for details about your child’s daily routine, their hobbies and interest, dietary requirement, medical history and other information that will help our educators in getting to know your child and for your child to settle in smoothly.
We can also guide you on how to apply for Government childcare subsidies and we will plan your orientation sessions.

Orientation sessions
Orientation sessions are the last, but very important step in our enrolment process.
These play-based sessions allow your child to get familiar with their new environment, interact with our educators, and start building relationships with their future friends. It’s also a great opportunity for parents to ask questions, meet our room leaders and educators, and get to know our daily routine. In addition, these sessions allow our educators to get to know your family.
Orientations are tailored to each family, so they’re held at a convenient time and generally last an hour. We recommend at least two sessions to support a smooth transition on the child’s first full day.
Our goal is to make the transition between home and the centre as smooth as possible, and for you, and your child to feel comfortable and excited about joining our Blossom family. We value your feedback throughout this process.
How to prepare
Preparing for childcare is an exciting step in your child’s development journey.
To help ease any apprehensions, we recommend talking positively about the new adventure with your child.
Please also label all of your child’s belongings to help avoid any mix-ups (clothes, bottles, hats, bag, etc), and take the time to read through your enrolment pack. And remember, our friendly team is always available to support you through this transition.
