Incursions and specialist classes
At Blossom Early Learning, we are dedicated to offering a wide variety of creative specialist classes and activities designed to engage and inspire your child.
Our curriculum integrates these activities to promote a holistic approach to development, encompassing creativity, exercise, science, movement, language, literacy, and socialisation.
These specialist classes could either be implemented by our educators or be run by external people as an incursion. Incursions provide children with the opportunity to learn through new experiences, meeting new people and exploring diverse scenarios. These activities help children develop social skills, express themselves, and think on their feet.
Examples of incursions or specialist classes/activities are:
- Sport
- Science experiments
- Art classes
- Yoga and mindfulness
- Language (including Auslan)
- Music and dance
- Cooking and culture
- Aged care visits / intergenerational programs
- Local heros such as firefighters, police officers, paramedics
- Dynamic activities – guided by the interests of the children
Excursions
Our excursions, tailored for younger children, are generally closer to home, shorter in duration, and essential for your child’s growth and learning.
Examples of excursions are:
- Local community facilities / library visits
- Local parks / flora and fauna experiences
- Local cultural venues
- Aged care visits / intergenerational programs
As part of our Kindergarten program, we offer excursions that have an increased level of learning and these could also be further away and are longer in duration.
